Mr. Ivanov has served as the Executive Director of the Confederation of the Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria since 2006. From 2000 to 2006, Mr. Ivanov was the Secretary General, Member of the Board and Parliamentary Secretary of the Employers Association of Bulgaria. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Ivanov served as the Executive Director of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum, a group affiliated with the Prince of Wales Leaders Forum, United Kingdom. Prior to that time, Mr. Ivanov held various positions including Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Head of the Mission of the Republic of Bulgaria to the European Communities, Brussels, Belgium (1993 to 1997), Senior Adviser to the President of the Board of Directors of BULBANK (1992 to 1993), Director in the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Department of Foreign Economic and Financial Assistance (1991 to 1992), Deputy National Coordinator of the EC PHARE Programme for Bulgaria (1991 to 1992), Third Secretary in the Permanent Mission of Bulgaria to the United Nations (1986 to 1990), Third Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department for the United Nations (1985 to 1986) and Attaché in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department for Western Europe and the United States (1981 to 1983). Mr. Ivanov received a college degree in German from the German College, Sofia Bulgaria, an MA in International Relations at the Moscow State Institute for Foreign Relations and an MA in International Relations at the Diplomatic Academy, Vienna.
